Kayfabe and lore definitely have their place in vtubing. They're a solid base for marketing and a fun way to get the community involved. And you can't deny they've led to some pretty incredible fanworks.

a good chunk of people I follow on cohost aren't on other social media. it's just cohost and sometimes an itch.io page. a few are thinking about setting up their own personal websites.

thinking about how zzz decided to make two of their playable characters not only kind of look alike (not talking about the overall character design here, just the dark hair in ponytail, red eyes, and body type) but also had them both stand out as overachieving workaholics
